In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Garden Grove; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The food wasn’t the problem—the service was. We were seated in direct sunlight with the sun shining right into our faces. It was so bright that we could barely see. We asked our server if we could move to another table or if there was any way to make the situation better. His response was that the empty tables were being held for future customers. Apparently, people who hadn’t even walked into the restaurant were more important than the customers already sitting there. We weren’t asking for anything unreasonable—just a table where we could actually enjoy our meal. Very disappointing customer service. We definitely won’t be returning. If zero stars were an option, that’s exactly what this place would get.

I had a really frustrating experience at Boiling Point. We waited about 36 minutes just to get seated through the waitlist. After finally sitting down, they took our order, but we then waited another 25+ minutes with no food just an apology for the delay. To make things worse, we were initially told they had curry available, but then the server came back and said they ran out, so we had to reorder and ended up ordering two beef hot pots. Meanwhile, two separate parties who were seated after us received their food before we did. We never even received our food and ended up leaving without eating. The lack of organization, communication, and overall service was extremely disappointing. Definitely not the experience we were expecting. See screenshot for time stamp when we waitlist and when we left.

This location has been here for as long as I can remember. My family and I loved this location. Though, I only visit once in a while now. Parking: There's a large parking lot, but they're located in a busy plaza. Finding a spot can be a hit or miss depending on the week. Ambiance/Environment: They still have a small, tight space. There's table and booth seatings that are placed close together. Great place for parties of 2-4. You can bring a large group, but it'll be a longer wait. It's very busy during dinner. You can join their waitlist via the QR code posted outside their window. They'll text you when your table is ready. Service: Throughput took about 10-13 min after ordering. The staff is very friendly, but it can definitely improve. There was a decent amount of staff for a Monday night. Our server checked on us once, and it became difficult to wave someone down to refill our waters and pots. My cousin took the liberty to get up, grab the water pitcher, and refill our waters. Foods: Boiling Point is well known for their Taiwanese style hot pot. I get my usual Beef Hot Pot with mild spice level. It contains a generous amount of sliced beef, napa, vermicelli, corn, seafood mu

After we got checked in to the store, everything was good. The service was quick and great. The tofu was surprisingly delicious. Holy Cow was great as other stores I’ve been too. I’m not sure if I was just hungry but I enjoyed the House Special at this place more than other places I’ve been to. My only complaint is the waiting. We were waiting for an hour to be seated with no status update. It would have been better if we can check where we are in the waiting list so we don’t to wait in-front of the store for that long.
